Edwardian Black Slip Dress Button Down Front
Gauzy, black cotton slip dress from the turn of the 20th c., this was worn as an undergarment, but can easily be your cool summer go-to frock - just remember that it is semi sheer!
Sleeveless, it has a fitted bodice, a nipped waist, and an elegant skirt hanging down to the ankles. Pulls on overhead, it has ribbon sash ties at the tops of the shoulders and ribbon sash tie at center top chest. Front has white buttons at center for easy on and off.
Note the black lace tri around the arm openings, and neckline, creating a soft, romantic effect. Bottom of skirt had a ruffled panel and the lower third has a series of horizontal pleats and panels.
