This NZ Map Light Up Art Block is by New Zealand artist, Sophie Blokker. Sophie creates beautiful paintings of New Zealand birds and icons, then paints New Zealand scenery within it. It's like you get two paintings in one!

This time she has painted a map of New Zealand, then within it she has include beautiful real-life images of New Zealand birds and flowers. In the South Island you have the fern frond, tui, flax flower and kowhai leaf, then in the South Island you have the fantail, manuka flower, pohutukawa flower, and kowhai flower.

The print is further enhanced with lighting built into the print. Insert three AA batteries into the back of the print, and then tap the frame or canvas to see the lighter parts of the print light up with a subtle glow. Fabulous to view at night, and sure to entrance your guests.

The art block measures approximately 30cm x 30cm x 3.8cm (11 3/4" x 11 3/4" x 1 3/8"). Flick open a cavity on the back to insert batteries (not supplied).
